How My AMU Experience Prepared Me.

It all begins with an idea.

AMU has significantly impacted the way I view myself as a professional. Each of the projects in my e-portfolio represents a unique aspect of my development as a business professional; whether it was learning how to use project management to achieve success in my Air Force Career, researching about how leaders in small businesses operate/style their leadership, or creating a plan for managing quality for a large-scale virtual event. Through these experiences, I have come to see how theories related to management are applied in the workplace and have improved my abilities to communicate, lead, make decisions, plan strategically, and manage projects. My coursework and assignments have developed my critical thinking skills and allowed me to approach problem-solving from different angles, and have provided me with the knowledge needed to assume the role of project manager in my chosen profession. As I pursue my career in government and contracting, I will continue to apply all of the learned information to help demonstrate to myself as well as potential employers that I am capable of leading, planning, and developing.
